+1 It would require dark arts to make a non-root user with a home
directory of "/root".  And you'd be in clear and blatant violation of
the LINUX file-system standard documents.

And while the 'user name not care' some components may deliberately and
specifically refuse-to-run as root, or behave differently.  It is
inverse Nike: Just do not do it.
