Hi, just a quick follow-up, the SMTP provider for 3.19.1+/3.18.1+ will try to reconnect when the AUTH command fails due to a connection being lost (the underlying stream doesn't claim connection lost, but the end of stream instead, which is the reason why it didn't return any real error and the runtime warnings were printed on the console). You can ask your distribution maintainer of the evolution-data-server to backport this commit: https://git.gnome.org/browse/evolution-data-server/commit/?id=3fc24c8 It might be a smooth backport, I think.
