Problem affected all accountants (3 POP, 1 IMAP). Some subfolders under InBox have 100s of e-mails. I left evolution running while I monitored with webmail to see if my clients were contacting me. Suggestion to rename mail subfolder to mail.old and restart evolution got things working correctly. However, I need to know how to get mail back from mail.old.

evolution opens without showing any messages in the folders, but the

The "Generating message list" text appears at bottom of evolution
window.

Which type of account, how big are the folders (how many messages),
does that happen with every folder, how long did you wait?
