Hi,
the 12th comment in the bug [1] says 3.29.1+, a development version,
thus 3.30.0+. It does not "turn off" anything, it adds an option to be
able to do that. You'll be able to use the gsettings command at the end
of [2], you only flip 'false' to 'true' there.
