If something appears in Evolution as a clickable link, it's natural to assume it's a URL (strictly a URI, since it pops up a mail composer). And archived messages can certainly be referred to by URLs, in fact that's exactly what you did. The reference given by the OP is not usable, which is the point I was trying to make.
