Hello, I am also having this problem (also with 3.44.0 but I saw it with 3.42 as well). It happens with messages from both my work EWS account, and with my personal IMAP server. It does seem to be related to WebKit, so perhaps it was a recent WebKit update that broke this (*). I have the following observations: 1. When I open a message from the message list, I might get a completely blank window. 2. If I close the window and try again, it might work that time. Sometimes I have to close and reopen several times until it finally works. 3. When opening a new window from the message list, and new WebKitWebProcess is spawned. 4. The problem does not seem to happen if I enabled message previews -- I click on the message in the message list, the preview is shown, and then if I open that same message in a new window, the problem does not seem to happen. At least I have not been able to trigger the problem with the preview pane enabled. 5. The message preview does not spawn a new WebKitWebProcess process; I do not know if that is having an impact on the problem not happening when the preview pane is enabled. 6. Sometimes I get these messages on the terminal; I think they happen when I experience the problem: Unsupported modifier, resource creation failed. XXX: resource creation failed They are not in Evolution code; perhaps in WebKit code? 7. Before this issue started to happen, I never had any problems. I'll run with "WEBKIT_DISABLE_COMPOSITING_MODE=1 evolution" for a while to see if it helps. This problem happens all the time so if WEBKIT_DISABLE_COMPOSITING_MODE=1 really fixes it I will be able to know pretty quickly. Cheers Eloy Paris.- (*) I run ArchLinux, and these are the recent WebKit updates I've had: [2022-01-23T23:38:06-0500] [ALPM] upgraded webkit2gtk (2.34.3-1 -> 2.34.4-1) [2022-01-23T23:38:13-0500] [ALPM] upgraded webkit2gtk-4.1 (2.34.3-1 -> 2.34.4-1) [2022-02-14T17:04:10-0500] [ALPM] upgraded webkit2gtk (2.34.4-1 -> 2.34.5-1) [2022-02-14T17:04:12-0500] [ALPM] upgraded webkit2gtk-4.1 (2.34.4-1 -> 2.34.5-1) [2022-03-03T18:45:00-0500] [ALPM] upgraded webkit2gtk (2.34.5-1 -> 2.34.6-1) [2022-03-03T18:45:05-0500] [ALPM] upgraded webkit2gtk-4.1 (2.34.5-1 -> 2.34.6-1) [2022-03-26T17:53:53-0400] [ALPM] upgraded webkit2gtk (2.34.6-1 -> 2.36.0-1) [2022-03-26T17:53:55-0400] [ALPM] upgraded webkit2gtk-4.1 (2.34.6-1 -> 2.36.0-1) [2022-04-03T23:04:01-0400] [ALPM] upgraded webkit2gtk (2.36.0-1 -> 2.36.0-2) [2022-04-03T23:04:09-0400] [ALPM] upgraded webkit2gtk-4.1 (2.36.0-1 -> 2.36.0-2) I don't remember when exactly I started to see this problem but I suspect it was very recently, like in March. _______________________________________________ evolution-list mailing list evolution-list@gnome.org To change your list options or unsubscribe, visit ... https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/evolution-list
