Evolution version 3.44.0-1ubuntu1

OAuth2 authorization was not a problem with earlier versions of
Evolution as they did not require that authorization for bellsouth.net
accounts.  Current version of Thunderbird running under Ubuntu 22.04
does not require it (nor does MS Outlook 365).  Thunderbird server
settngs, for example are imap.mail.yahoo.com SSL/TLS, normal password
authentication.  Yahoo handles bellsouth.net emails.  The problem is
that AT&T, which manages bellsouth.net emai does not know how to give
OAuth2 authentication to bellsouth.net email (I have been in touch with
AT&T HQ)

So, how do I keep Evolution from forcing OAuth2 authentication when
other email clients don't do that?
