[Evolution] Evolution on Mac OSX

Hello,

I am interested in getting Evolution to run on Mac OSX. I understand that this is not a supported platform, but I understand that it can be made to work.

I am unix/linux newbie so I have almost no idea of what I am getting my self into, but I want to learn and this seems like a worth while project to cut my teeth on.

I understand I need to have an X server and the GNU developer's toolchain installed. I just downloaded Apple's new X server. I have no idea what the GNU developer's toolchain is or where I can get it.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

And if I am being an idiot for even trying this, please feel free to tell me so.
