I just ran Evolution from the command line and got this error message when I opened the Tools->Settings->Composer Preferences->Spelling dialog pane: (evolution:1098): evolution-mail-WARNING **: Cannot activate OAFIID:GNOME_Spell_Dictionary:0.3 Does this help nail down the problem?
