Even with 1.4.x versions?
Any part of the Composer works for *1.2.x* versions.
Unfortunately this has changed during the Gnome2 port. Dropping over the
text field in *1.4.x* versions you get a file:// URL -- dropping over
the header works fine even in *1.4.x* versions.
