Even though firebird is in my $PATH, I did the script exactly as above.
Same issue....it will not open a new tab if Firebird is currently open.
If I try to debug it, as you suggested by doing
sh firebird-remote.sh http://gnome.org (in the correct dir of course) I
get nothing.
