as nobody cared about my crashin mail (subject was 1.4.4 suddenly crashes on startup), i will try again, maybe this time someone is around that has help for me. i've now installed the 1.4.5. version, but still my client does not start, this time the output from my shell, for detailled traceback see my previous mail on the list:
