Funny thing, this happened to me last night as well. After from resuming
from suspend, launching Evo, press Send/Receive and lots of error boxen.
There was no activity on the machine from the previous evening since I
suspended the maching. Did an Evo --force-shutdown and relaunch which
fixed nothing. AND I didnt even see a ./.evolution directory, just
./Evolution.
Had to re-boot, relaunch and Evo resumed working like usual.. This was
the first time I have ever had a problem with evo.
A Y2k3 bug??? The solar flares??? (Just had a blackout at work today
forcing the Generators to kick in)

Well I just rebooted and it has cleared up. What a pain though..... I hope
this is not something that will happen a lot. I thought regular reboots
was only for Windoze.

Well interestingly enough when I ran into the panel applets crashing
with similar errors I thought hrrrm maybe it's not a evo thing. I tried
doing an oaf-slay, but nothing happened. Normally that will kill
nautilis, the panel, evolution and many other things, followed by
restarting the destkop components. But this time Nothing. :(
