logout of your user account, then Ctrl-Alt-F1 and login at the console. then `rm -rf /tmp/orbit-$USER`, then you should be able to log back into the GUI (X + GNOME or KDE or whatever it is you run). Starting Evolution will probably work after that. I hope.
