Evolution doesn't parse the mbox files through an IMAP connection - the
IMAP server does that. So if it's messed up, then blame your IMAP
daemon.

oh, so you are seeing:

+ Inbox
|- mbox
|-+subfolders
| |-+Another Folder
|   |- mbox
+ Outbox
|- mbox

Is that what you are seeing? Evolution is displaying that correctly.
That's the way it *should* look - at least under wu.imapd.
