hi,

... switching back to mozilla temporarily for writing mail.

since evo 0.13 (both cvs since days and ftp-src-snapshot) I can't
compose mails. In the report below I have to backtranslate the messages
to english, as I use a german locale.
When I click on "new message" I get two mesage appearing one after the
other which are telling me :
de:"Erstellungsfenster konnte nicht erzeugt werden"
en:"Creationwindow could not be generated"
and then after clicking "ok"
de:"Nachricht konnte nicht vom Editor erhalten werden"
en:"Message could not be received from the editor"

I have installed all prerequistes. Often there are newer versions (as
asked) in README in gnome-ftp.
This is what it asks for and what I have
                        evo needs I have installed
xml-i18ntools
        >0.8.2 0.9
lib-xml
                1.8.10 1.8.11
gnome-print
        0.25 0.25
gdk-pixbuf
        0.9.0 0.9.0
ORBit
                0.58 0.58
oaf
                0.6.2 0.6.5 or cvs
GConf
                0.6 1.0.4
gnome-vfs
        1.0.0 1.0
libglade
        0.14 0.16
bonobo
                1.0.3 1.0.8

db3
                3.1.17 3.1.17

and this is the way I build it (non-cvs)
./configure --sysconfdir=/opt/gnome/etc --with-gnome=/opt/gnome
--prefix=/opt/gnome --with-db3=/opt/db3

Of couse I tried the ususal 'killev' and 'oaf-slay'.
My system is a Suse 7.0
"Linux gizmo 2.2.16 #1 Wed Aug 2 20:22:26 GMT 2000 i686 unknown".

Can evo be made more verbose about whats it is trying to do (via a
secret build-switch or commandline-switch probably)?

Stefan
