Hey all,

I've successfully managed to compile Evolution 1.0.3 on Solaris 8,
however there was a minor issue that caused a performance problem that
I'd like to share with anyone else who's in the same Solaris boat as I
am. :)

Essentially, it would take Evolution about 7-9 seconds to bring up a
"New Message" window. This is quite excessive, and almost made me stop
using the product.

The solution was to install the Solaris /dev/urandom patch 112438-01.

It now takes < 1 second to bring up the compose window, and Evo itself
feels faster.

All that needs to be fixed now is the quirkiness within the 'to' and
'cc' fields - stealing focus during Contact name lookup, and not
returning focus, and all is well. Though this sounds like a gtkhtml
issue.

Kudos to the developers for Evolution. Keep up the fine work!
