It does so, if you read what you have written:

1)  _some_ people have issues with the old way.
2)  _all_ people have issues with the new way.

Which one is the worst?

Removing code that is currently doing something usefull at least for some is a
VERY bad strategy, at least until someone writes a better replacement,
