Actually, had to uninstall evo108, libbonobo-conf0.15, bonobo0.15; 
then reinstall the 0.16 versions and evo111. I had tried to use Replace
Files but I guess not at the correct time and place. 

So, yes, Evo1.1.1 is now running on Mdk8.1. 
You were correct, it is considerably improved over 108. :-)) 
Imagine that many of the bumps are more smoothed going to 1.2.0.
