this could actually be done using gdialog (part of gnome-utils), albeit in a hackish and incomplete way. i'm using a 1.2 beta snap, so i don't know if this functionality is available in 1.0, but you can set a filter to run a shell script when the criteria are met. something like
Status is not read - shell command - "gdialog --msgbox "hello world" 100 100" will pop up a message box when new mail arives of course, you'll probably want to find a way to make sure the message box doesnt pop up when there is already one displayed, but this might be what you're looking for and give you a start hope this helps matt On Mon, 2002-10-28 at 21:15, Not Zed wrote: > hmm, currently you can't. we did have some code in there for this but > we had to take it out because it has some implementation issues. > > On Tue, 2002-10-29 at 07:51, Denny Schierz wrote: > > hi, > > > > how can i add a filter, tha pop ups a message, with some Info? > > > > Like "Hi, i have a new Mails for you, would you like to read them" ;-) > > > > just an example :-) > > > > i don't want to use an external programm like biff* > > > > cu denny > > > > > > _______________________________________________ > > evolution maillist - [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > http://lists.ximian.com/mailman/listinfo/evolution > > > _______________________________________________ > evolution maillist - [EMAIL PROTECTED] > http://lists.ximian.com/mailman/listinfo/evolution -- Matthew J.
