The above error indicates a probable idl mismatch.  The rh 8.0 pilot
packager has indicated to me there are some issues with the redhat
gnome-pilot packages.

Hours?  How many records are we talking here?  JPilot also syncs in a
different manner, storing the records in the palm database format iirc.

If jpilot touches any of the info in the record then this will occur as
per the palm sync rules.
