Unlike Infiniband, iWARP runs on top of TCP/IP and thus is routable.

    RDMA only works over layer2 Ethernet. If you have an IP router in path it 
won't work.
    For long haul infiniband we use buffer devices, such as obsidian longbows, 
to sustain throughput over the long haul.
