Employment Type: Contract Job Description:* - Candidate must have experience architecting large data solutions, logical and physical data modeling, and data migration planning and implementation on a multi-phase project. - Candidate must have previous experience as a DB2 database application administrator with logical and physical data modeling skills. - Candidate will generate detailed logical models and physical schema diagrams from system user requirements as well as analyzing existing physical data for data migration. - Candidate must have documentation skills in automated tools for both logical and physical model and well as monitoring of data performance. - The candidate will develop a new consolidated data model that normalizes the current duplicated data and improves the database performance and facilitates enhanced data reporting. - The candidate is responsible for making recommendations on the best approach based on the current situation and business needs. - This candidate is responsible for preparing the project Data Design Document that defines the logical and physical data needs, data migration requirements and conversion strategy, data security requirements, data backup and archive; as well as the implementation of all data approaches. - Current data is contained in DB2 tables, VSAM files, and flat files. WebFOCUS product is the business intelligence product currently in place for customer reporting. Erwin is the standard data modeling tool and the CA Platinum Suite is utilized for database utilities. *Required Skills:* - must have experienced on 3 or more new development projects as a data architect - must have experienced in planning, recommending an approach, and implementing data migration strategies based on the data requirements. - Responsible for recommending data migration tools if needed - Must have experience on Data Modeling - Must have experience on DB2 - Must have experienced on 3 or more new development projects as a data architect - Must have experienced in creating logial and physical models within the ErWin modeling tool - must have a 2 year or higher degree in Information Technology - Must have worked in an Information Technology technical position at least 2 positions held over the 5 years must be as a data architect Thanks & Regards Ganesh.
