Position: Network Infrastructure

1. Minimum Job-Specific Skills/Qualifications Required:

• Minimum of 7 years experience in Information Technology
• Minimum of 5 years experience with network infrastructure and
application system deployment projects
• Minimum of 3 years experience with government IT projects (Local,
State, or Federal)
• Experience working on multiple simultaneous IT projects throughout
the entire life cycle from design to deployment
• Prior experience with tier 3 data center environments
• Possess knowledge of enterprise network infrastructure design
concepts such as
o Multi-tier design
o Client / server system architecture
o System security processes
o Data center technology infrastructure
o Web-based application deployment
o Multi-vender platform integration
o Telecommunication infrastructure
o Networking concepts: routing, switching, security, remote access
• Excellent oral, written, analytical and communication skills with
the ability to lead a technical discussion to both technical and non-
technical staff
• Must demonstrate high level of technical writing experience -
samples of relevant published work are highly desired such as
technical implementation plans, architectural as-built documentation,
test plans, scope of work, project summary sheets, high level network
diagrams.
• Must possess excellent communication and presentation skills for
both technical and non-technical audiences, including creating and
presenting executive summaries to management and technical committees
• Excellent analytical, verbal and conflict resolution skills
2. Additional Skills/Qualifications Desired:

• Use software development tools, languages, and report generators.
• Experience in supporting a government or public body RFP process in
technical aspects
• Experience creating and documenting project processes and work flows
3. Tasks and Responsibilities to be Performed
Task No. Description of Tasks and Responsibilities
1 Provide subject matter expertise on shared infrastructure and
security components.
2 Provide technical oversight and escalation recommendations by
participating in project team meetings.
3 Serve as the technical single point of contact for project team
during data center service implementations and court deployments.
4 Coordinate with 3rd party vendors in the development life cycle of
all data center projects from discovery to implementation.
5 Represent project team in all enterprise architecture and technical
working discussions to raise project issues with design and compliance
as needed.
6 Conduct technical assessments of computing environment prior to any
new application or service deployment or as required.
7 Validate business requirements in order to document the technical
requirements and specifications.
8 Generate conceptual diagrams for inclusion in requirements.
9 Validate resulting work orders, statements of work and vendor
contracts for technical accuracy, provide a technical cost analysis
and recommend approval to management.
10 Provide subject matter expertise on shared infrastructure and
security components ensuring compliance with IS standards and security
guidelines.
11 Facilitate the documentation of application architecture and
security reviews for data center applications and services.
12 Validate all change control submittals for technical accuracy and
recommend approval to change advisory board.
13 Works closely with application and project teams to ensure that all
network requirements are documented; technically correct, and comply
with IS security policies.
14 Develops technical solutions for disaster recovery and business
continuity processes.
15 Provide technical advice towards the development and upkeep of the
network policies, standards and guidelines supporting branch and trial
courts
