*SCOPE OF SERVICES *

*Responsibilities:*

•          Work with project management team, technical team and business
unit in the requirements gathering process to determine high level designs

•          Help testers learn related technology

•          Test planning and scripting

•          Using best practices for testing

•          Assist in testing efforts, perform unit testing and fixes during
testing process

•          Assist the support team in deployment

•          Other related testing tasks in the SDLC



*Deliverables*

•          All documentation regarding system testing

o          Test Plan document

o          Test scripts

o          Test cases

o          Test Summary document



*Mandatory Skills:*



o       Minimum *8 years of experience as a QA/Test team member*.

o       Experience and understanding of a variety of programming languages,
architectures, and standards (e.g., J2EE-Java, .Net, object oriented
languages, n-tier architecture, service oriented architecture)

o       Fundamentals of MQ;  basic knowledge of Unix commands. Strong
knowledge and ability to create complex SQL queries and work with SQL
editors;

o       Ability to work with and validate Data Dictionary. Strong knowledge
about XML file structure, XML schema, and XML file data validation.

o       Strong understanding of network and security design and the
implication of these on the performance test environments

o       Must be able to communicate with the infrastructure teams to
recommend alternative solutions for addressing application bottlenecks

o       Must be able to understand requirements and translate them into test
cases

o       ‘Ability to create quality assurance plans based on the analysis of
design documents and requirements, Create and execute test cases, log and
assign defects and keep track of the defect status

o       Hands-on experience using tools like XML Spy, QLoad, WinSCP, Putty
CM. Experience with SOA.

o       Must be able to see tasks through to completion with minimal
guidance

o       Ability to work independently in  time sensitive environment and be
fully responsible for work results
