Practice located in Portsmouth, NH is seeking a talented and tenured
Mid-Senior Level Windows Administrator for a 3+ month project in Brighton,
MA. The Systems Administrator is responsible for effective,
installation/configuration, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of
systems hardware and software and related infrastructure.  Where
applicable, the SA will be responsible for implementing solutions to
optimize the infrastructure operations, and for conducting research and
development to ensure continual innovation.  Analyzes and identifies all or
part of the existing or new computer (and/or server), peripheral, and
network systems requirements, taking into consideration the special
technology needs of the client. Designs, implements, codes, tests,
documents, and maintains systems integration solutions to total system or
subsystems. Establishes functional and technical specifications, solves
hardware/software interface problems, defines input/output parameters, and
ensures integration of the entire system or subsystem.

*Duties include:*

   - Install new / rebuild existing servers and workstations, building and
   deployment of systems images, and configure hardware, peripherals,
   services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards
   and project/operational requirements.
   - Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade COTS
   products and administrative tools and utilities as necessary.
   - Perform user management to include systems user accounts,
   authentication and group management.
   - Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and
   availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes,
   reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of
   scheduled jobs such as backups.
   - Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems
   and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media,
   recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off
   site as necessary.
   - Provide support per request from team members and system users.
   Investigate and troubleshoot issues.
   - Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and
   communicate with impacted organizations.
   - Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.
   - Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible malware
   and viruses, as well as intrusion attempts.
   - Documentation and artifact development to include systems
   architecture, systems security, maintenance and operations procedures.

*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS*

   - Demonstrated experience in the maintenance of the following
   technologies:
   - Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise
   - Microsoft Windows 7 Professional, Windows XP Professional
