Location: Columbia, SC Duration: 12+ months Rate: Open Responsibilities . Participate in a team comprised of client and solution implementation staff to deliver a data mapping inventory of all current client transactional systems which will be used to define "master" data source and provide configuration mappings. . Works in a collaborative effort to conceptualize total systems and/or product solutions currently in place. . Ability to plan, organize, direct and review the work of technical personnel. . Data Architect will define, drive, and manage enterprise Data Strategy and Roadmap for the organization. . Creates architecture diagrams, and technology navigation maps. . Recommending and designing system architectures to align with organizational strategic business objectives. . Requires mastery technical and business knowledge in multiple disciplines/processes. . Performs work that is highly complex and varied in nature. Develops integrated solutions to resolve highly complex technical and business issues. . The position will be utilized for 40 hours per week for the duration of this project. The selected candidate should be able to work flexible hours where it may be necessary for work to be completed outside traditional business hours. . The candidate will work closely with the Bureau of Information Technology, Enterprise Application Division to identify, prioritize, and schedule workload and implementation to IT standards and procedures. The position will work with program area team members to ensure that all business requirements are met to support the MDM system. . The position promotes agency initiatives and adheres to Information Technology application development standards to support business operations. This will also include implementation of new security policy/procedures as well as integrating systems when possible to streamline staff workflows, user security, and data correction. Skills Needed: . Experience in designing and implementing enterprise level systems architectures. . Demonstrated knowledge/skills of the IT industry which includes: multi-tiered architectures, enterprise applications, evaluation of emerging technologies, networks, data management systems and hardware systems. . Experience in relational databases. . Experience gained through numerous Full Life Cycle Data Architecture projects. . Experience with Industry Standard Information Security Practices . Ability to integrate technical systems with agency goals and objectives. . Ability to establish positive working relationships with technical staff, customers and others involved in data-centric management. . Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills . Experience with security and data classification related to CDC, HIPAA, and CJIS.
