Location: Mountain View,CA Duration: 12+ Months Rate: $45/hr *Responsibilities of the role include:* * Work in conjunction with Finance and other Business Analysts to systematically retrieve, format and maintain data. * Model and design sophisticated and complex data queries and hierarchies. * Design reports and retrieve data to support the Finance revenue team in effectively analyzing the business, including ad hoc reporting. * Drive the broader use of system capabilities (Oracle 11i, Hyperion/Essbase, Business Objects) to gain insights. * Work with Finance team on building the systems infrastructure to automate models focused on revenue and forecasts. * Design systems to support/build critical dashboards to manage the day to day business. * Drive automation of reporting efforts for Finance team. * Partner with other Business Intelligence and IT-related teams to provide data requirements for all Finance related systems – effectively translating business analysis requirements into appropriate data hierarchies, organizational form and technical specifications. * Acquire a thorough understanding of the business and the data in order to provide guidance for systematically providing insight into revenue trends, customer segmentation, etc. to positively impact business results. * Manage data transfer, invoicing, and payments with external vendors on certain initiatives. *Education and Experience:* * Bachelor’ degree in Finance or Information Systems. MBA or CPA preferred. * 5+ years of Business Intelligence & Analysis in Finance or Accounting environment required. Preferably including some data warehousing and Oracle SQL experience. * Experience in the Software industry is preferable. *Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:* * Excellent verbal and written communications skills to interact with, and to communicate with, people at all levels. * Outstanding database management skills – most likely will have either provided oversight for a primary data system for a finance function and/or be considered a super user/expert in architecting financial data systems. * Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Access and Excel. * Experience with Oracle 11i, Hyperion/Essbase, Business Objects, BI tools, Siebel 8.1, developing SAP Business Objects Universes, reports and dashboards * High energy level, excellent problem-solving skills. * Inquisitive and the desire to understand “why”. * Works well independently, takes Initiative, self-starter. * Good organizational skills. * Ability to handle a variety of tasks. * Must exhibit the ability to effectively interface with all types of people. * Must be a team player and goal oriented. * Ability to partner cross functionally with finance, business partners and IT. * Ability to prioritize work, balancing short and long term opportunities in a fast-paced environment * Ability to understand customer pain points & effectively communicate solution roadmap and outcomes to business partners. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Exact Match" group.
