*MUST HAVE: pharmaceutical manufacturing experience AND requirements
gathering and documenting AND data modeling/BI*
**Any candidates not coming from a pharmaceutical manufacturing (drug
manufacturing) environment will be declined.**
**Candidates also must be willing to travel to Puerto Rico 2+ times per
year.**
*Job Description:*
Looking for someone with manufacturing experience, data modeling and/or BI
(in the mfg space preferred). Looking for people to work in a manufacturing
data workstream
Responsible for partnering with the businesses and functions, understanding
their processes and operations. Actively participates in identifying and
enabling strategic and tactical initiatives requiring IT involvement.
Serves as a liaison between the business/functional teams and the broader
IT teams. Helps business partners articulate and prioritize business
requirements and translate them into functional/technical solutions.
Ensures effective communication of the initiatives, goals, requirements,
specifications, expectations and progress between all parties.
Demonstrates the ability to analyze business and technical processes and
formulate specifications for new or modified information systems, through
collaboration with business functions and end users. Utilizes understanding
of scope, risk and the principles of Business Process Excellence to
recommend changes which optimize business processes. Demonstrates the
ability to define requirements and business cases for technology
developments. Coordinates with business and technology teams to ascertain
system requirements.
Demonstrates understanding of general technical concepts, including global
standards and trends, in support of performing specific aspects of one's
job. General technical skills may include the following concepts:
communications, data management, operating systems, virtualization,
storage, hardware, mobility, networks, scalability of the environment,
security and desktop applications.
Demonstrates knowledge of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles,
and uses knowledge to analyze, evaluate, modify, configure and implement
purchased and existing systems. Knows how to develop requirements and
workflow, including standards for development and maintenance of systems.
Demonstrates the ability to prepare application system specifications, plan
and implement system upgrades, enhancements and/or maintenance, including
documentation and training instructions.
Demonstrates the ability to anticipate and take action to meet end user
needs, continually searching for ways to increase satisfaction. Partners
with IT customers to ensure availability, effectiveness, and optimization
of IT solutions. Demonstrates the ability to educate end users on usage of
standard tools and applications, and markets technology benefits. Applies
technical expertise to resolve technical problems.
Demonstrates the ability to prepare/execute system testing for new and
modified applications and systems. Knows how to translate requirement
documents into viable test cases, develop appropriate test
protocols/scripts, and execute a traceability matrix. Demonstrates the
ability to maintain and communicate testing schedule and status according
to agree upon project parameters. Utilizes knowledge of quality standards
to maintain test environments. Knows how to identify defects/problems and
properly document test results. Demonstrates the ability to conduct
regression testing after applied software changes.
