*Description *
10 years of progressive enterprise experience in Data Analysis, Business
Intelligence, Analytics, or Data Warehouse solutions using proven solution
delivery methodology framework
1. The Master Data Management (MDM) Developer works with business
users to identify, scope, analyze and finalize requirements for MDM
implementation. Pilots and prototypes MDM projects and follows up to
complete a production MDM implementation. Tasks involve all phases of the
MDM implementation process including requirements analysis, system design,
programming, testing, roll-out, maintenance, and operational support.
Provide guidance to IT Staff in their tasks.
2. Activities
3. Provides subject matter expertise on Master Data Management and
ETL Concepts
4. Drives project management through technical decisions related to
master data management
5. Builds/enhances data models and database architecture for MDM
6. Assists in developing the MDM solution architecture
7. Performs technical translation of business master data management
requirements
8. Represents the business perspective of data analysis and design
discussions
9. Reviews design/functional specifications to develop detailed
technical requirements document
10. Translates functional specifications into technical specification
11. Performs a wide range of tasks relating to data extraction, data
scrubbing, and data transformation, maintenance of metadata and data
dictionaries
12. Creates the necessary documentation to build, administer, and support
all test, development, and production environments
13. Provides for data warehouse architecture design, which includes
logical and physical design of data warehouse, data marts, staging area, etc
14. Provides technical expertise for data warehousing, OLAP technology,
and data management including data extraction, transformation and loading
processes (ETL)
*Required Skills*
1. Working knowledge of design, development, and support of an MDM hub
2. Working knowledge of extract functionality to downstream systems
3. Extensive experience with ETL processes and tools
4. Experience developing multiple cleansing and standardization
scenarios using mappings & industry standard products
5. Experience collaborating with developers on designing & developing
web-services that can integrate Master Data with other systems
6. Working knowledge of business reporting tools
7. Advanced knowledge of data warehousing, data mart design and
implementation
8. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
*Preferred*
1. Experience with enterprise MDM software
2. Experience with multiple programming languages
3. Experience with data modeling software
4. PMP certification or other related training
*Minimum Experience*
1. 10 years of progressive enterprise experience in Data Analysis,
Business Intelligence, Analytics, or Data Warehouse solutions using proven
solution delivery methodology framework
2. 5 years of progressive experience in Master Data Management and
MDM Hub Implementation
3. Experience with data warehousing and data mart design and
implementation
4. Experience with business intelligence tools
5. Advanced technical experience with at least one OLAP tool
