Hello Hanumant

Thanks a lot for the effort at explaining the adding of a drop down list in a combo box. I guess the only way to actually learn is to get basic guidance from experts like you and then to actually try it for oneself.

Unless basic users like myself don't try it for ourselves, we will never learn.

Thanks for your help as always.

Thanks

Ashish

There are various ways.
you can use additem in your code or you can use "RowSource" property of the combo box. for using property what u shud do is you type required data in cells. then name those cells by selecting all the cells which u want to name then right click it then select "Name a Range" and then give any name. lets say MyTest
then use this name i.e. MyTest in the RowSource proprty of the combo box.

Note: Double quotes are not required for any name anywhere.

you can even hide those cells which has your data for combo box.

please let me know if you understand it or not.

i am sleepy going to bed :)

I am amazed at what you have accomplished very simply but I do not
understand where you are storing the information in the Combobox1 and
combobox2 for the drop down selection process

Please help - I really think I would benefit in my programming by
utilising Userforms but I have always shied away from them

Thanks in advance
