Save the file to your desktop and right mouse click and select "open with". 
This should give you an option to open it with xlm converter. Try that first to 
see if it converts the file. If this opens the file and converts it for you, 
you will need to select the open with and select "choose program". This will 
allow you to check the box to always open with after you select xml converter.
