Here is a workaround. Please change it accordingly

 

 

Sub GenerateAutoNumber()

            Dim lngPreviousNo                   as long

            lngpreviousNo = 1

            lngpreviousNo = lngpreviousNo + 1

            MsgBox lngpreviousNo

End sub
