Please see the attached sheet, which is self-explanatory. I need to have validation for PAN. That is, the PAN structure is AAAPA 1234 A First, Five Characters are to be only ALPHA i.e. AAAPA Sixth to Ninth Character have to be only Numeral i.e. 1234 Tenth Character should be only ALPHA i.e. A Please see the Sample Sheet for Error indicated by me. If any PAN is incorrectly provided (i.e. other than the PAN Structure), I need to identity the incorrectness. Kindly suggest suitable Excel Function or any VBA Codes, which can perform the result by throwing the number of incorrect PAN in separate sheet with highlighting those PAN with different colours. Also, in the main sheet, it may indicate the incorrect PAN records with different colours for immediate view. If anybody has better option for such requirement, please suggest.
