I have a formula and macro rich workbook. It has about 21 worksheets that I
work in. I mostly paste in from other excel sheets; on one sheet I extract
data from HTML through Text-to-columns and a few filters via a macro.

What I run into is that despite selecting all cells and deleting the
data(once per month), I feel like Excel is storing the fact I had 4000 rows
of data. Even after deleting the data, my scroll bar displays as if there
are pages upon pages of blank cells. I get a noticeable amount of lag
time(10-20 seconds) when I try to copy a calculation or formatting
downwards. I also have issues where the file becomes corrupt during saving
to where excel can't recover and I'm forced to use an earlier backed-up
version. These problems have been happening more frequently as I add more
macros and calculations. They only occur on this workbook.

My best solution thus far is to completely delete the problematic
worksheet, create a blank sheet, and rename it to the original name.

   1. Is there a more efficient way to clear a worksheet that includes all
column/row counts? Can this be put into a macro?
   2. Is this simply a result of having too much data on a single file? I
   have a top notch PC.

Thanks for your help!
