*Title : WPF developer*

*Local or local within TX to come in for a face to face*

*Job Description:*

The Software Engineer serves on one of the development teams for the
Pegasys Project in Houston, programming equipment design modules in C#
.NET. The software engineer works on a team of four individuals helping to
design, develop, test, and deploy high quality software as part of the
Pegasys application.

*Responsibilities: *

ü Participate as a contributing team member

ü Contribute on design of software modules

ü Develop software following team and industry best practices and
standards, coding styles, etc.

ü Work with Chemical Engineers from client’s Research and Engineering
daily to meet requirements and ensure the product meets expectations

ü Share knowledge and experience with other team members through regular,
frequent, formal and informal communication

ü Participate in code reviews, contributing constructive comments,
suggestions, thoughts to help improve code development across the team

ü Give and receive peer feedback and/or assistance as needed

This is the WPF developer role. The manager likes candidates from
Schlumberger or oil and gas experience.

*Heavy C# and WPF.* Will not interview resumes with a heavy *web .Net
focus. *

Very diverse team out there. Communication is very important. I believe
there are 6 groups on the team right now – each group is made up of 4 (3
dev and 1 test) and works on a specific module of this huge application
that is used by chemical engineer to design equipment for refining
(reactors, towers, etc). They DO NOT need any sort of chemical or
engineering background. He wants hardcore, data intensive developers that
are highly collaborative. Halfway through the project. It should wrap up by
the end of 2017.

*Phone screen first with manager and the other project lead (both are
technical) and then face-to-face with 4-5 on team. They do a little white
boarding of code, but it’s a huge culture/team mesh type interview. *
