I have a need for suggestion on a VBA that I want to create
I have a series of cells (A1:A200), each cell contains: a blank, or a
string of phrases (like: I don't like this, Things could be better, Use
Word, Excel, but never Notes, ...)
I need to parse the content of the cell and fill columns C to [what ever is
needed] like this:
Column A B C
D
*I don't like I don't like this Things could be
better Use Word, Excel, but never Notes*
*this, Things*
*could be be*
*tter, Use *
*Word, Excel,*
*but never *
*Notes*
The content of column A comes from a survey question that had check boxes.
For each check box, the survey put the wording of the response followed by
a comma. The check box group ended with a free form text "other" option.
I am hoping to put together a VBA that will read down the A column, create
the B to whatever columns.
I have also considered creating a setup like this:
Column A B C
D E
F
*Answer 12 I don't like this The days are too long
Things could be better I want to work a 3 day work week
Other*
*I don't like X
X
**Use Word, Excel, but
never Notes*
*this, Things*
*could be be*
*tter, Use *
*Word, Excel,*
*but never *
*Notes*
*This would be easier to tally the feedback but I am still at a loss as to
how to accomplish this.*
