*Location*: Jefferson City or Kansas City, MO *Hourly/Salary*: Open *Job Description: * Provide administration and development support of both the existing and new JIRA and SharePoint applications. Current applications exist at an organizational and project level for multiple Medicaid and Medicare customers that provide defect tracking, task assignment, project tracking and workflow approvals. This role will work closely with project teams and management teams to provide recommendations, support, development needs and administration required to meet project and organizational requirements. *Qualifications:* - Proven leadership skills along with excellent time management and organizational skills - Must have strong understanding and experience in SDLC, software methodologies, procedures, and workflow - Ability to work independently in a fast paced 24 x 7 environment - Experience with SharePoint 2013 and JIRA 7.5. - Experience architecting, installing, implementing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and reporting JIRA and SharePoint applications - Knowledge of creating JIRA extracts - Experience with supporting and administering end users - Workflow experience in a development/SDLC environment *Experience: (*Qualified candidates must possess the following abilities and skill sets) - Provide development and maintenance support of existing JIRA 7.5 and SharePoint 2013 solutions based on business need - Support users on both an internal and external facing network - Provide solutions for both operational and project related efforts of medium to high complexity - Assist with gathering requirements, providing recommendations, and implementing solutions to meet project requirements - Review existing SharePoint and JIRA solutions and identify and address any architectural deficiencies. Define a strategy for common procedures and tasks like migrations and maintenance activities - Monitor application reports and logs and suggest required actions to be taken and resolve problems. Configure additional health rules and troubleshoot issues. - Provide detailed architecture analysis and design, and direction on development activities - Work with network engineers to provide level one support of user creation and management in an Active Directory solution - Plan patching and maintenance along with knowledge of best practices for patching in a 24 x 7 environment - Prepare test plans for project development, application patching, and maintenance activities - Conduct system and unit level testing of new applications prior to User Acceptance Testing - Assist in the creation of prototypes, POCs, presentations, collateral, etc. - Provide documentation on all architecture decisions and best practice approaches to architecture design implementation based on communication with project teams. - Design and implement a variety of SharePoint centric solutions, including: - Web Content Management (e.g. Intranet, Extranet, and Internet) - Collaboration (e.g. Team/Project/Community sites, MySite) - Document Management (e.g. custom content types, policies, metadata) - Business process management (e.g. workflow, electronic forms) - Server farm components (e.g. Search and User profile service applications) - Help network load balancing needs and ensuring it’s correct operation - Perform regular reviews of the events, logs, and messages reported in Event Viewer and Performance Monitor with SharePoint Administrator *STATE OF KANSAS:* With regards to the *State of KS *- SharePoint Admin. highlights they are as follows: Per client, "will be installing new SharePoint farms for the Intranet and public site. In addition, we are migrating our Extranet from MOSS 2007 to SP 2013. We are also looking at SharePoint Online. *We are looking for a candidate with in-depth knowledge and experience with SharePoint installations and service configuration for small to medium size farms. * The *chosen candidate will possess hands on experience in PowerShell scripting, *patches and cumulative updates on the farm servers and understanding of the architecture.
