Primarily provides strategic support of Splunk integration and deployment,
configuration and maintenance

*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS*

·         Provide operational system administration support for enterprise
applications in a high availability, 24x7x365 environment.

·         Assists with IT functions such as design, analysis, evaluation,
testing, debugging and implementation of applications programs in support
of one or more functional areas.

·         Analyzes, installs, acquires, modifies and supports operating
systems, database or utilities software.

·         Perform troubleshooting, resolution and problem analysis.

·         Monitor alerting systems and servers.

·         Review issues logs and network capacity reports to identify
trends and solutions that should be implemented enterprise-wide.

·         Maintain in-depth documentation of activities and system
configuration.

·         Assists with the preparation of systems assessments or
certifications.

·         Assists with the execution of test processes and scenarios, track
results, and make recommendations of system fixes.

·         Assist with network disaster recovery initiatives. Implement
solutions to streamline disaster recovery.

*Qualifications:*

·         Overall experience of 10+ years as System Engineer with 2-3 years
Splunk Admin.

·         Experience with virtual technology, such as VMWare ESX.
Experience with OS environment running one or more databases including SQL
or Oracle desirable.

·         Working knowledge and experience with key ITIL processes is
required.

·         Previous application development coding, debugging, testing and
delivery into a production environment are highly desirable.

·         A solid understanding of compute performance metrics and tools is
highly desirable

·         Requires in depth knowledge of supported operating systems,
utilities, vendor products, applicable programming languages, diagnostic
techniques, terminal dialog techniques, database management systems,
teleprocessing monitors, benchmarking methodologies, applicable
communications protocols, applicable hardware configurations, use of
statistical and analytical tools for system monitoring and evaluation.

·         Knowledge of technology, network, data and applications
architectures.

·         Requires proficiency in use of desktop based productivity
applications, networking and open systems standards.

·         Requires analytical and design ability, high degree of
creativity; knowledge of the business implications of technical approaches,
directions and solutions

·         Superior communication skills required
