*Job Description* *General*

• Strong analytical and problem determination/resolution skills

• Implementing cross-functional cloud systems (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), and
hybrid cloud solutions, service and hosting providers including project
delivery and architectural oversight.

• Design and development of software defined datacenter (Cisco ACI, VmWare
NSX), Micro segmentation, and cloud management

• Exceptional documentation skills that can clearly articulate technical
designs, issues and constraints, procedures, and network assessments



*F5 load balancers (3+ years)*

• Experience with deployment of vCMP

• Ability to create and configure virtual load balancer

• Ability to create and configure health checks up to application level

• Ability to create static routes



*Checkpoint firewalls (3+ years)*

• Experience with VsX

• Experience with Smartview and Dashboard

• Experience with next generation services (IPS, AV, AMP)

• Strong experience creating and maintaining firewall policies

• Strong experience creating IP interfaces and assigning IP subsets to
virtual firewalls

• Strong understanding of BGP routing and how it’s configured in Check Point

• Ability to create static routes on VxS and physical firewalls



*Nexus 9K switch platforms (5+ years network / 2+ years with 9k platform)*

• Experience engineering complex, secure networks for infrastructure
modernization efforts

• Deep comprehension of networking concepts including network design
principles, data flow determination, routing, switching, VLANs, IP
addressing, etc.

• Experience with VsX

• Experience with Smartview and Dashboard

• Experience with next generation services (IPS, AV, AMP)

• Strong experience creating and maintaining firewall policies

• Strong experience creating IP interfaces and assigning IP subsets to
virtual firewalls

• Strong understanding of BGP routing and how it’s configured in Check Point

• Ability to create static routes on VxS and physical firewalls (for Irving
appliances)

• Solid understanding of advanced networking technologies, virtualization
technologies, and solutions including

o MPLS

o virtual route forwarding

o virtual device contexts

o multicast routing

o policy-based routing

o ether-channel

o QoS

o traffic-shaping

o load balancing

o VPN tunnels

o WAN Optimization

o etc.



*Network and security protocols including:*

• Layer 2 – Ethernet, ARP, STP, VTP, VPC, MEC, LACP, PAGP, DOT1Q

• Layer 3 - OSPF, EIGRP, VRRP, HSRP, GLBP, ICMP, ESP (IPSEC), IP

• Layer 4 - TCP, UDP

• Layer 5 / 6 - SSL, TLS, SSH

• Layer 7 - FTP, HTTP, DNS, Telnet, BGP

• Juniper / Palo Alto

• Working knowledge of Juniper and Palo firewalls to modify firewalls
policies and add static routing
