What I was describing is the software my company sells (trying to stay away
from a sales pitch .. I'm still a techie) ;)
We plug into any excisting Exchange Server without the need for installing
any agent on the server and therefore do not require any of the reboots or
rebuilds of the arrays.

I really like the fact that I can save all my email as I use some of it as
reference in projects that last longer then months, have them still
accessable in my mailbox, but not hogging any more diskspace on the server
as needed. The older emails (usually 3 months or older) are archived of
the Exchange Server to secondary cheaper storage while they are still
accessable in my mailbox as if they were still on the Exchange Server.
