Hi, Had nothing but troubles with Trend. GUI craps out, etc. Their support is in the PI. I could go on & on. Had a talk with their Sales VP and the guy was a total A$$hole.
I have had the priviledge of using/installing Antigen at all companies I have worked. We received over 6k 'my doom' emails in the past two days and Antigen stops each and every one. I ran a manual scan on the cluster nodes in prod WITHOUT performance hit at all after the virus broke just for safety's sake. I prefer an Antigen install on each exchange server vs. smtp gateway. For some reason, I guess I'm paranoid, knowing Antigen exists and updates all scan engines on each host hourly with MTA and SMTP scanning makes me feel much more secure. Of course I also block the usual extensions for attachments and do inbound/outbound/internal scanning too. I have to admit for the past 5 years their product continues to be the best Exchange A/V out there. No one compares hands-down. Regards, Erik L.
