Check to see if you maybe have some processes scheduled to run under the admin account. Or if you installed any third-party software that runs as a service and uses the admin account. Also don't leave any terminal server sessions opened with this account logged on. That's because after you change the password and if any of those conditions are true - the account will get locked.
