Install the Exchange management tools and then create a GPO that would
prevent them from running Exchange System Manager.

Or develop your own web-based user-administration tool.

Or find a copy of WebAdmin that Microsof used to have (but did not support),
although WebAdmin was geared for a hosted environment (however it would work
in a corporate environment too)

Also Microsoft now has provisioning software that you can buy that they
support.

Your best bets are either install the Exchange tools on all the pcs or give
them a TS to use that has the tools installed.

Subject: Administrative tools for local admins

I hope this isn't a duplicate, my browser just closed for no reason and I
don't know if the previous message was posted...my apologies if this shows
twice.

I have over 100 locations each of which has a local administrator
responsible for user administration including email addresses, etc. We
currently have a web admin tool provided to us by the provider who is
hosting our Exchange environment, however we are moving to an in house
Exchange system this weekend. I would like all of these admins to see the
Exchange tabs in AD Users and Computers under their user's properties but do
not want to deploy the entire Exchange Management tools to each of
them...they only need ADUC. I can see the tabs on my computer, but only
after I installed the management tools from the Exchange CD.

Any ideas?
