W2K, Exch2K - I have a couple of users on OutlookXP and 1 on Outlook03 who get the requesting data message periodically. The rest of the campus (400 users +/-) are Outlook 2000 and they dont have this issue. We want to move to Outlook03 this Summer. Exchange, the DCs and the GCs are all in the same site as the users and its all 100Mbps Switched. From a hardware standpoint and from checking with perfmon periodically, I am not overloading any of the servers. What other factors might lead to this? I have occaisionally had "Server service was unable to find a free connection x times in the last x seconds" in my event logs on the DCs/GCs but I have followed the recommended registry hacks. You can change this behavior, but it's kind of a pain. What is the network like between the VPN point and Exchange and then the DCs? Are your DCs overloaded? The user was remote, but it has happened a couple of times internally. The server looks healthy as far as utilization, etc... Any ideas?
