You could do that, but it may open up relaying more than you like. In my recent experience with defining hosts and networks that are allowed to relay, make sure you don't use the address and mask as defined on the host, it won't work. For example, you would like the host 192.68.1.10 to relay. Either define it as a single host with 192.168.1.10 and a mask of 255.255.255.255 or define the host as a part of a network... 192.168.1.0 mask 255.255.255.0. If you specify 192.168.1.10 mask 255.255.255.0, it will not work properly (still doesn't relay).
