I used Exchange Admin and verified their mailboxes are no longer on the old
server and I have removed the old server from the Exchange Site.

The only way I have found to be able to completely remove the old outlook
profile is to rename and recreate their Windows user profile on the machine.
I have hunted through the registry and renamed and/or deleted all references
to the old mail server, yet I still cannot change the Exchange server under
the user's outlook profile.

Strange, huh?

That can happen when users stay logged on. It's likely that they have
mailboxes on both the old and new servers.

Subject: Strange problems with Outlook 2000

I'm having problems with a few Outlook 2000 clients after migrating their
mailboxes to a new Exchange 5.5 Enterprise server. The clients were left on
and Outlook was open during the mailbox move. I left the old mailserver in
the site for 2 days after the transition (over a weekend). On Monday, a few
of the Outlook clients are hung up and connot find their mailbox. Thinking
that the profile did not get updated, I selected the mail profile so I could
change the server name, and the name box is greyed out.

Anyone have this happen to them? The only thing that I can find common with
the problem users is that they all are running Office 2000 SR-1, without SP3
installed.

Your ideas are appreciated.

Thanks,
Eric
