I am well into an Exchange 5.5 to 2003 migration. I have an issue and a
dumb question (I have searched but not found an answer, so I apologize
in advance).

My issue is that I have a few names showing up in the Global Address
List that should not be there (they do not have mailboxes). We do have
matching user accounts for these, but they do not have a mailbox. If
you choose properties, it shows a blank alias and there are no addresses
under the e-mail addresses tab. At this time, the Active Directory
Connector is running, and we are also using Unity voice mail which
integrates with Exchange. I would like to figure out where the
addresses are coming from (AD, ADC, or Unity), so that I might determine
how to get rid of them. Is there any way to do that?

My dumb question relates to finalizing the migration. I know and
understand about moving the mailboxes and public folders over. At the
present, the distribution lists and contacts/custom recipients show up
in Active Directory. I know that this is a function of the ADC. My
question is, when the ADC is shut down, will the replicated distribution
lists and contacts go away or stay. I am assuming the latter, but would
rather not find out I am wrong the hard way.

Thanks for any and all assistance!
