I know this topic has come up in the past, but I have a hopefully new spin on the question.
We're looking to have the Exchange (2000) NNTP service slurp up selected groups from our ISP's newsfeed and put them in a PF. While digging a bit with our ISP and a packet sniffer, we discovered that the command that Exchange sends to request new messages is a verb that is (understandably) disabled on most NNTP servers - NEWNEWS. Most NNTP clients use 'XOVER' to request a list of messages, but Exchange does not use that verb. Does anyone know of a solution that can somehow slurp down NNTP groups and dump them to a PF? Maybe an NNTP proxy that will translate XOVER/NEWNEWS or something like that? _________________________________________________________________ List posting FAQ: http://www.swinc.com/resource/exch_faq.htm Web Interface: http://intm-dl.sparklist.com/cgi-bin/lyris.pl?enter=exchange&text_mode=&lang=english To unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Exchange List admin: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe via postal mail, please contact us at: Jupitermedia Corp.
