I just installed a standalone Win2k3 Server with E2k3, AD, DNS and Symantec 4.5 AntiVirus/AntiSpam for Exchange. I also run pop and OWA. BTW, the Symantec 4.5 (vs 4.0) is doing a much better job at catching spam. I'm guessing it catches about +85% of spam and so far has been 100% accurate. (meaning it hasn't tagged any non spam as spam... YET)
My problem is: A few days ago I added new email accounts and I'm already seeing spam to these users. It happened so quick it makes me think the spammers are somehow grabbing the addresses off my server. (their addresses do not appear anywhere else like web pages.) I've gone through all the Anti Spam articles from M$ so I'm just wondering, did I miss a setting that is allowing the spammers to collect email addresses directly from my server or are the dam spammers just getting that quick and my end users that lame.
